We're running Paymate v1.01

Basically there is the global issue of customers not clicking the "confirm" button and therefor the order never updates in the cart. We are also aware of: No order # (as it doesn't generate until after the payment) and that most errors are customer side.
However, if Paymate get pinged, and reply with a (yes/no - paid/declined) then is there no where that the "paid/declined" details get stored in the store backend?
I've been told that there is no table for paymate, then there is no data that can be stored - however if the store can recognise a yes/no, then why can't it recognise a yes(details)/no/details. Ideally there would at least be a Paymate transaction or receipt number somehow pinged back to the store.
Our PayPal module pings back the transaction ID, I was hoping that the Paymate one could do it, is there a string I need to update, or is there someone who has been tweaking the existing Paymate module and would like to share their work?
[EDIT] I don't suppose anyone has managed to find away to "send" the product data to Paymate and have it register with Paymate? (Again I know that the order doesn't generate until Paymate pings back, but is there a way to send not just the total, but the product to Paymate to approve?)
