Credit cards no longer processing with Optimal Payments

Hi,

This one is weird. Optimal Payments was installed on our site for a few months (and working properly) but I had to take it down this summer (administrative reasons) and go back to Paypal. That has changed this week when i've been asked to activate that module once again.

Only now, it doesn't work. The message "There has been an error processing your credit card" appears every time anyone tries to complete a transaction. What has changed since this summer? I can't think of anything. Maybe that's when I went from 1.4.5 to 1.5.0, which is a big deal, but I'm not even sure I didn't do that before I made the switch.

Does anyone have any idea what could suddendly cause this problem?

Not familiar with Optimal Payments but does the module have a switch for logging?
If so enable it and run some test transactions then see what the logging reveals

It doesn't have a log file system specific to itself and the general log files didn't gave me much details. I found some hints that maybe the card data isn't captured properly but since the code used to work, it's kind of hard to find a programming mistake in there.

I am not against credit cards but I guess, using these charge cards can also be in trouble.

I solved this issue a few weeks ago. I should probably say how if anyone has the same problem.

The problem was that the form sent by post containing all the order data was no longer being sent to OP. The module used a substitute variable for $_POST. I don't know what that variable was doing that $_POST couldn't do but it was no longer doing it so I replaced it.
