Parent / Sub category question

admin > config > productlisting > Show Sub-Categories on Main Page while navigating through Categories > set to "1"

Thanks for the quick response... I do have it set to one but still no luck with it showing up correctly. here is a list of what my config>productlisting settings are

As simple as that fix could have been ... I wish it would have solved it :)

Product listing settings should be irrelevant for this, as you want (and should expect) a subcategory listing. Not sure why that subcat setting is lumped in with product listing settings... sounds like a legacy item where somebody a long time ago couldn't figure out a better place for it.

However, for some reason the program is trying to run the product listing page and rightly saying there are no products to list. Is it possible that you have a disabled product directly in Automotive?

I've check to make sure I don't have any products under Automotive at all and there are none. I've even tried deleting all categories and products and loading them back in. A strange one is I uploaded some more products early this morning and some of the categories are working like they should and some are doing like Automotive does.. Needless to say now I am really confused since its no longer an all or nothing type thing.
