Product Type Fileter

Let's say I sell sunglasses on my website. I have aviator, retro, wide styles under categories. Also, I am using manufactures so I can't use that as a different filter. But let's say I want to filter these by Male/Female, is there a way to do this? May be an add-on? Contribution?

Place the word "Male" "Female" in the product name or in the description.

Alternatively, place them in categories "Male" "Female" and link them to other cats

Going with kobra's suggestion, you'd create a new category named "By Gender" that would have two sub-catagories: Male and Female. Then, for each of your Sunglasses products, you'd use the White copy (C) button to Link (not Duplicate) a "Sunglasses" product to either "By Gender->Male" or "By Gender->Female".
