Will it work with....?

I've tried several different shopping carts and plug-ins for building an online shop, and so far the've all underperformed with sub-standard tech support from the people who sell them. After I went through all the time/effort of setting up the store, getting payment/shipping plug-ins, it still wouldn't do so much as process a single payment.

So before I install Zencart, and go through all the trouble of setting up another store again, I'd like to make darn sure that using ZC will resolve the issues we've been having.

1) Will ZC work with our FastCharge.com gateway? Fastcharge says it will, but they said that about WP Online Store, and WP's E-Shop. (It didn't work) I'd hate to set up prices, products and all that jazz, only to be hit with another 'we cannot process your payment' rigamarole.

2) Will ZC work with our FedEx shipping gateway? See above. We were told by other cart/plug-in writers that their product would work and offer full support. They didn't, and it leaves quite a sour taste in the mouth....

Is there a transaction/monthly/weekly fee for using ZC to set up an online store?

1) Install a test Zencart site, add one product, and see if you can check out using Fastcharge.

I use FastCharge with ZenCart. From your previous post, we sell the same types of products, hence the need for FastCharge.

You do need to modify the existing Authorize.Net module, but they have the documentation on their site, one or two lines.

The only 'bug' I've seen with this is trying to do a partial refund through Zen Cart. Fast Charge refunds the ENTIRE amount, so all refunds MUST be done through the FastCharge website.


ZenCart works great with USPS, UPS and Fedex modules. I tried to use the Numinix Fedex Modules, but had errors, not sure if I jacked it up or not, but others had similar issues. Could be resolved by now. I am using CEON's Advanced Shipping Module and it handles all of the shippers seamlessly.

No fees associated with Zen Cart.
