    Default having to change domain name to a subdomain AFTER installation

    My SSL certificate ran out and when I renewed it they told me I had to create a subdomain (for zencart). I though it already was a subdomain since it appeared to be working the last year.

    Still, I am now faced with having to change all instances within the files in the zencart folder of domainname.com.au/zencart to zencart.domainname.com.au.

    Can anyone tell me the best way to go about doing this? Thanks.

    There should be no reason for this
    Unless you requested the cert be issued to the subdomain name or they incorrectly requested it in the subdomain name

    True, but before, for some reason, the entire site was issued with the SSL cert. I really only want the zencart subdomain to have it - when someone logs in. So they gave me a choice: whole domain name or subdomain. I chose the latter and now I have this problem.

    There must be a single place where the value of HTTP_SERVER etc. is stored?

    It is (and I'm saying that without even knowing what you domain is).

    irrelevant.

    includes/configure.php & /admin/includes/configure.php

    Now, as far as domains and subdomains go.

    .au = Top level domain
    .com.au = A subdomain of the .au domain OR the top level of the com.au domain
    domainname.com.au = A subdomain of the com.au domain OR the top level of the domainname.com.au domain
    zencart.domainname.com.au. = A subdomain of the domainname.com.au domain OR the top level domain for zencart.domainname.com.au.
    www.zencart.domainname.com.au. = A subdomain of the zencart.domainname.com.au domain.

    Note: a subdomain with no subdomains is usually a 'host' (actual server) - The functional equivalent of a FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name)

    Cheers
