adding a pdf file link into product description page

I've searched the forum and tried adding a link using <a href="pdf_files/forbiddenbrewrecipe.pdf">$nbsp;$nbsp;Forbidden Brew Recipe</a> in the product description. When I click on the link on the webpage, it gives me a 404 error. If I go to www.pazdarwinery.com/pdf_files/, it give me an index of pdf files. How do I set this up so that by clicking on the link in the product description it pulls up the pdf file?

Try using the complete path in the link (http:// etc.)

And consider copying one of ZenCarts index.html files into this pdf folder to prevent the index

What code have you entered?
Are you entering this code when using the plain text editor or are you using html mode?

Here's the code:

It was placed in the Product Description box for Forbidden Fruit (Spiced Apple Wine)

make sure that the file "forbiddenbrewrecipe.pdf" exists in the pdf_files folder
Also check for any htaccess in that folder

Also if you arde actually still running ZenCaret v1.3.7 you really need to upgrade

On the subject of the version, my slow season is the early part of the year when I hope to finish the upgrade.
