Here's my situation...
I stock a small amount of inventory which I ship via USPS with 3 options available to my customers: First Class or Parcel Post (depending on weight), Priorty and Express. I also drop ship thousands of items for which I need to attach a flate shipping rate, specific to each item, for USPS with two options: Priorty or Express. I also need to add a $1.50 fee per order for any order than contains 1 or more drop shipped items.
So, if a customer orders only products which I stock then their shipping cost is calculated based on total weight (I already have this integrated with the USPS module) and they choose on of the 3 available methods.
Or, if a customer orders only products which are drop shipped then they should see shipping totals for Priority and Express options plus a $1.50 fee.
But, if a customer orders both stocked and drop shipped items then it could require them to choose an applicable shipping method for each set (like Amazon does) or it could just default to the drop shipped options with an allowance for the extra weight of my in stock items, and then of course add the $1.50 fee.
I realize this is a tall order but I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction and at least get me closer than I've been able to get myself. Thanks a million!
