Easy Populate missing from menus.

You say that you can see EP under the TOOLS menu...

If so, then can you see a link that says UNINSTALL...

If so, perform that action.

Then, you should (ideally) remove the FILES from your admin area. To see WHAT and WHERE these files are, just open the unzipped EP module folder you grabbed off the plugins area of this site.#

Follow the directory tree, and then navigate to the same folders on your server, removing the relevant files.

Hmmm... no, there isn't a link to uninstall from the TOOLS menu. I'm guessing it might be under the CONFIG menu when doesn't appear for me. I would just delete the files but I think it made some database updates. And of course this client's hosting plan doesn't let me connect directly with the database to "look under the hood." I have to log in to his control panel and then deal with phpAdmin which is such a pain. [sigh...] oh well, guess that's what I'll do.

The same here, as I'm using a fresh install for zen-cart. There is no 'uninstall' option from the Tools > Easy Populate drop-down menu. I can remove the directory files no problem, but can someone make a post/write an outline of what to remove in the db?

If this mod is based on LANGER's original, then you can try this:

(This must be run BEFORE you remove the files).

Let me explain what happens...

When you run: easypopulate.php?langer=remove

... it DELETES the database configuration entries for EasyPopulate.

... but the FILES still remain.

... so if you THEN go look at EasyPopulate in your ADMIN >>> TOOLS menu, the files will "activate" and expect to find the database configs (which are now gone).

It will be safe to then DELETE all the files for EP 1.2.5.7 - remember to remove ALL the files. They are all in ADMIN folder.


If you delete the FILES before running the REMOVE command, your DATABASE will still contain the CONFIGURATION DATA for EP 1.2.5.7 .
