Help with header/category names and a couple of other teeny things

Not sure if I have given this the right title. I have 3 queries to do with the Abby template and customisation

I have a new installation of zen and I am currently setting it all up. Very pleased with what I have done so far,,, but, and there is always a but isn't there,,lol

I followed the instructions to create a new template and override system,, yay! But when I told it to use my template, it somehow changed the names on the category headers across the top of the store

I started out with this free template

as you can see the headings, including the login and register links all now have HEADER in front of them and I have searched everywhere I can think but cannot find where to fix it, pleasse help!

I am fine with editing style sheets and php files, just get stuck knowing where to look sometimes

Also if anyone can point me in the direction of where I add the two graphics that are showing at the top of the template demo page that would be great
and the other thing I would like to know is how to get rid of the search box that is showing on the top of the right column please

This is displaying a constant due to a mis edit of the text that should be displayed
This text MUST be contained within a pair of single quotes as in
'my_text'

Use your admin > tools > developers tool kit and search for "HEADER_OR" check case sensitive
Look for a defines and where single quotes might be missing

I'm still stuck though

I searched for the document and found it,, and I simply cannot see where there may be a problem. I even compared it line for line against the original that came with the template and it looks fine. I haven't changed anything on this particular file but obviously in setting up my overrides and custom folder etc, something went wrong somewhere

are you able to offer any further help, or anyone?

I followed the instructions on this site and copied the file into my custom folder, so I guess I am,,, but, I have tried to upload the original file again and the menu bar disappeared altogether!

I should add that nowhere in the file in question does it have the word define.
So,, I have been searching around some more and I did find the file header.php in custom/includes/lanhuages/english
which I Have edited,, this file does have some defines and also the heading that are incorrect, but searching through it doesn't show me any obvious errors

I have edited lines 18 and 21 - 24 inc

Hmm it doesn't have all the headings that are wrong,, is it possible there is another file, I am sure the tpl_header.php that I found on search is not the right one

I use Notepad ++ to edit

from your first instruction I located this file in my search
cardsandscraps/includes/templates/cardsandscraps_template/common/tpl_header.php

but as I said there is no define in that file, I searched within it too, and I haven't edited that file either, but when I uploaded the original file from the template package it took out the menu bar altogther, so I put my custom file back

then I looked for another header file and found cardsandscraps\includes\languages\english\tpl_header.php
which I have edited as above

might it be that you mistyped the folder name, as in your post #5?
custom/includes/lanhuages/english

where BTW you are not putting abby_template
