If you want to take a look and compare stylesheets, I recently made this manufacturers drop down into 6 columns ---shop by size/type:

Thanks,
Anne

Yep.. that's what I have figured out thus far too.. I just am not seeing CLEARLY why the manufacturers are misbehaving while the two column products are just fine.. grrrrrrrr...
I will take a look, but since they do not have products let alone multi-column products I am not confident this will fully help... But I will take a looksee.. Very frustrating.. I fix one issue and uncover/create another one..

And finally after making the fix above, I realized that the manufacturers needed to be displayed in 3 columns.. thanks to this post I now have the manufacturers in 3 columns.. Thanks Anne.. That site gave me the hints I needed..
NOW I can FINALLY stop messing with this menu.. WHEW!!!

Indeed Anne.. Indeed.. and I WISH I could say that this is done.. but unfortunately IE8 (which I grudgingly still have to care about) is not behaving.. the original issue I was having with the categories menu and the "jumping" in the second column when hovering over links is still there in IE8.. I have been ALL THROUGH the mega menu stylesheet and the site stylesheet and I cannot figure out where this is coming from... Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh.. (did I mention how much I LOATHE IE8???)
Does anyone see what my tired eyes are missing.. Does anyone CARE about IE8????? (that last part is a rhetorical question)
