1stly Great template... but how do I change the facebook link and the youtube link in the side box on the main page?

Great now I've edited the includes\languages\english\extra_definitions\sheffield_blue\footer_menu_defines and social_defines .php and um broke my main page...
The scrolling banner and the social media boxes are now gone.. ive tried replacing both those .php files and then activating the classic template and then activating the sheffield templates, ive tried clearing my cookies and cach and still nothing.

I am happy that you like the template ;)

There are instructions for customizing the social media links in the readme.html file included in the template package. Since this is a php file you need to edit it with a plain text editor. I would recommend re uploading the original file from the template package and trying your changes again.
