Hi,
I want some products which are available to buy and some for only promotional purpose only.
Both are separated by different category.
Please help

You can select "out of stock" for these and select settings in admin > config > stock to not allow purchase

You could also use a different Product Type for the promotional items and turn off the cart function for that type.
