Need some inptu on server issue

My website has been slowing down so I talked to my server and they said there are 2 plug-ins running that are slowing things down.

1) deletefromzen_db_cache
2)zen_whos_online

Does anybody know if I need these or if there's anything I can do to get rid of this problem?

Upgrade your Zen Cart, I expect that you are running 1.3.X. Other than optimizing the database and queries which is mostly not overly effective you need to upgrade.
