Quantity Total Discount Issue

Hello,

I am using zen cart 1.39 and am using the standard "quantity discount" module to give customers a discount if they order 12 bottles of wine. BUT one of the bottles is not giving the discount. It is under the same master category.

I have a feeling somewhere in the code it is excluding the sub category--which is category 7. Any ideas if that would be the issue or what file to edit to see if it is excluding this category from the discount

Look in includes/modules/order_total/ot_quantity_discount.php to see if you have exclude_category() or exclude_product() functions set up to exclude this item.

Thank you for the reply, I did look there but there isn't anything excluded. The code is below

The weird thing is that if you add 12 bottles of wine-from any category except the "sweet wines" (which is category 7) the quantity discount works. It seems as though there is something blocking that one.

Any idea what could be causing the issue other than that. I have a main category "wines"-#1 Then under that is all of the other sub categories,

Semi Wine
Dry Wine
Etc

one of them is Sweet Wines. It seems if you add 12 of the Riverbend Red's that the discount doesn't kick in, but it does take off 10% when get up to 12 bottles of something else...

what are your settings from admin->modules->order totals->quantity discounts?

Thank you, here is my setting below, I even tried to go by # of items instead and it doesn't seem to work either


Sort order-295

INclude Tax: False

Recalculate Tax: Standard

Discount Unit: Percentage

Discount Basis: Total by category

Counting Method: items

Discount Level 1: 12

Dollar Amount 1--10%

Go to the database and check the master_categories_id of these products again.

It matches up. The master category of each one is the same as in zen cart.

For example, in zen cart it shows Category 7 and in the database the master category is also 7.
