Forced Account Creation or Log In?

Hello everyone - is there a way to "force" a customer who isn't logged into the store who attempts to purchase from the store to log in or create a store account BEFORE trying to go thru a payment service like PayPal? When i tested this with PayPal, I did get an error "blank address" with the explanation that I needed to create an account and was returned to the store. Thought it would be better to check this before the customer tries to check out. I do have shipping address required checked in the configuration.

You don't say which version of Zen Cart you're using ... but with v1.5.1 (and I'm pretty sure 1.5.0 and 1.3.9) there's a configuration value in Modules->Payment->PayPal Express Checkout named "Express Checkout Shortcut Button". If you set that to "false" (default's "true"), a customer has to create an account/login before using that payment method (i.e. no "shortcut" button on the shopping_cart or login pages).
