Deleted product still showing under "New Products!"

I am new, and added a product bu just renaming one of the sample populated data. I played around with it, then deleted it from the product category.

Unfortunately it is still ahowing up on the home page under the heading "New Product!" When I look for the product in the "Categories" layout box, in the left column, it does not show up.

Is there a cache or some other location for "New Products?" Any ideas?

Do you still see it today?

There are some Products that look very similar to one another, so check that your are really seeing the one you deleted ...

If it is, look in phpMyAdmin and browse the tables:
products
products_description

do you see this Product by its products_id?

Was this perhaps a Linked Product and you only deleted it from one of the Categories vs fully deleted the Product?

Can you find the Product in your Zen Cart Admin on a search?

In addition, you can see a "download box." It appears that the product I was playing with must have been software. I assume that there is probably a link to the actual software to be downloaded. I would have thought that by deleting the product that all of the links would also be deleted. Is there a way to see all of the links to products and how to delete them?

OK...I think I found the problem. There was a download product called "Big Link". I found the product in that folder. It was deleted, and all looks right with the world.

Thanks for all of your help. I am going to continue to play with Zencart to see what else I can break before I ry to sell for real.
