is there a way to automatically adjust attributes based on product availability

I have a product that has 2 attributes - size and color

for example:

Small Medium and Large for size

Red White and Blue for color

We have run out of Large Red but still have Large White and Large Blue


Is there someway to have Red removed if the size selected is Large?
