I need additional product images but get get them working!

Hi all,

I tried to installing image handler 2, followed the instruction perfectly but I still don't think it worked, maybe my version is too old.

I then tried additional_product_images_v2_0c but this will not allow me to add the line of php code to the tpl_product_info_display.php file without then making everything including that and below go blank.

I'm not sure how to uninstall the modules, should I just reinstall zencart?

Why would it have just 1 image as default? Then I'm forced to use plugins that I can't get to work.

Is there any simple way I can add more than 1 image without using these modules/plugins that don't seem to work for me!

Hey there, I haven't used those plugins before but if what your having to put in tpl_product_info_display.php is making the code beneath go blank then it sounds like you're adding comments or not enclosing the php code properly.

reinstalling zencart is a touch drastic, instead just go through the steps that you completed backwards and undo and changes to files you made and delete any new files that those modules have added.

I messed up my template and i had only just installed it so i did the reinstall.

What's the best way to additional images? I don't like the _01 method, it don't look right.

IH2 is NOT for ZC1.5, you need IH4. But firstly why doesn't the _01 method 'look right'?

If your main image is:
abc.jpg

you could use:
abc_01.jpg
abc_v20c.jpg
abc_fred.jpg
abc_1.jpg

as long as the base is in the additional images, then it will work ...

NOTE: The images are then displayed in the sorted order of the filenames based on an alpha numeric sort ...

I didn't know how to move the additional images around but now I've had a play with the template, it looks just how how I want it.

I'm using the standard method now with the lightbox plugin and it works just how I want.
