    Default Target File Already Exists:\includes\modules\pages\payer_auth_verifier\header_php.php

Downloaded the latest Zen Cart install setup from Source Forge yesterday for my first test cart. Got the following errors when uploading files to an empty folder via FileZilla:

    Target File Already Exists:
    Source File: \includes\modules\pages\payer_auth_verifier\header_php.php 9,908 bytes
    Target File: \includes\modules\pages\payer_auth_verifier\header_php.php 7,160 bytes

    and

    Target File Already Exists:
    Source File: \includes\templates\template_default\templates\tpl_modules_media_manager.php 1,332 bytes
    Target File: \includes\templates\template_default\templates\tpl_modules_media_manager.php 0 bytes

    These errors showed up twice.

I chose to overwrite both files twice and want to make sure I did the right thing before proceeding. Additionally the transfer failed on the larger header_php.php file (possibly because I waited a while before choosing to overwrite) so I went back and transferred the single file. The file shows as 9,908 bytes on my PC but when uploaded to the server shows as 9,702 bytes. Wondering why this is and would like to confirm it's normal.

    Thanks, Ed

I won't say it's normal, but upload connection problems happen, which is why I upload the Zencart zip file and extract it on the server using CPanel's File Manager. Takes a minute or so to upload, two seconds to extract - no corrupted files and permissions are set properly.

Using Filezilla, I always see local and remote file sizes as very slightly different (local is larger). Maybe it has something to do with how file storage works on my pc vs. the server.

    Agreed.

Windows (local) and Linux (server) have ~slightly~ different file sizes for me as well.

Right, that's why I changed my FileZilla setting for Transfers/File Types/Default transfer type from 'Auto' to 'Binary'. That way, my file sizes are always the same locally and hosted.

Fairly safe thing to do, esp if you deal with zend or ionCube encoded text files.

Thanks for the replies. Just to be safe am going to delete that folder, upload zip file to server, and try extracting to new folder from control panel.
