products subcategory not showing when product info page is navigated to from product

Right now, if I navigate to a product info page from the "products_all" page ....the subcategories which the product is in do not show in the categories sidebox on the left of the page.

now if i instead navigateto the product info page by clicking through the categories (i.e. click shirts, then collared, then click a shirt) the products subcategories can be seen, in the categories sidebox.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to include the cpath when navigating to a product_info page from the products_all page?

If you navigate from the all products listing, there is no information available on which subcategory would be appropriate, if you have linked products that appear in more than one category. Every product has a "master category id" whether it is linked or not, so you could modify the breadcrumb code to use the master category if there is no cPath active.

Getting the categories sidebox (and therefore the URL) to show a relevant cPath would require more modifications, likely to the products_all files to generate an appropriate cPath in the listing link.
