Default Why is address info not transferred to Paypal to make checkout faster?

    Hello,

    Here are the steps
    1. customer comes to site, does not purchase anything but creates an account .
2.customer in the future comes back to the site and login first.
    3. then they add an item to their cart.
    4. they are presented with the shopping cart page with an paypal express checkout button.
    5. they click on the button and are redirected to paypal.
    6. However on Paypal's page the address is not pre-filled with the customer address
that was created in step #1. Shouldn't it populate address to allow checkout to be even faster?

Is there a way to get this to work? Can someone help? Thanks.

If you made alterations to the way the address data is CAPTURED and HANDLED, after a customer has registered, you can experience a range of payment and shipping problems.

For example... if you set STATE to NOT be a dropdown - and then a few people register - and then after a few days you decide to set STATE to be a dropdown - those early visitors may have a STATE format that will not "parse" into the data sent to PayPal, or be usable for shipping calculations.

Also, if you change the STRUCTURE of the address format, the same thing can happen.

You may also have created payment zones, or shipping zones, then modified/deleted/added new ones AFTER customers registered.

This MAY or MAY NOT be the issue... but think back about any changes you have made that may influence the way the address is formatted.

The only thing I did was move the Company name field below the last name field. I'll move that back and see if that fixes anything.

So that didn't work. I even put the original tpl_modules_create_account.php file in my overrides folder and test it, but it still doesn't work. It did transfer the email and phone number though.

Ok I think this is normal behavior as this user also has the same issue:

Anything we can do to get this fix? I'm thinking that paypal's first page is the billing address and the address on zc when creating account is the shipping address.

    Any thoughts?
