    Default Combine two manufacturer filters

Is it possible to combine two manufacture filter ids to show both manufacturers in the same listing?

    For example I can filter
    ?sort=20a&filter_id=3
    And
    ?sort=20a&filter_id=4

But can you do something like
    ?sort=20a&filter_id=3&filter_id=4

So that both show? The above doesn't work obviously but wanting to know if there is a correct way of doing the query to make it work?

There is no built-in support for that at the present time.

    Ok thanks.
On a similar subject, I am going to be building a sidebox that refines results, ie, price high to low by category by manufacturer depending on if the customer is on a manufacturers page or category page.

I want the refine to be text links for the various filters. Of course at present tr filters are a form arnt they? Would it be bad practice to generate links to to filters as apposed to it being via form. If so, can a drop down box be modified to not be a drop downs and just display links to the filters?
