I want to just allow one category for this coupon, and encounter 2 problems:
Problem #1. the pop-up message at the checkout page (to check on the discount terms), shows:
*See the red colored messages, it's a contradiction to the fact that I am only allowing ONE category.C ongratulations, you have redeemed a Discount Coupon.
Coupon Name : VIP Loose Supplies
Coupon Description :
Exclusive discount for existing Customers, Newsletter Subscribers & Facebook Fans only
Category specific: Only valid for loose supplies in this Category.
The coupon is worth 10.00% discount against your order
You need to spend S$35.00 to use this coupon
The coupon is valid between 01/01/2013 and 02/02/2013
Product/Category Restrictions
Category
This coupon is valid for all categories.
Product
This coupon is valid for all products.
Discount Coupons may not be applied towards the purchase of Gift Certificates.
Problem #2:
In that category, there are linked products which I set master category as other categories, and those categories should not be allowed for further discount.
Example in shopping cart:
1. Product A - (allowed category)
2. Product B - (linked product, master category is set to another category other than the allowed category)
Discounted value: Total price of Product A and B.
I tried to include the Top: Deny, and then allow that specific category, but it won't work at all.
The checkout page shows: You must spend at least S$35.00 and/or as per coupon condition to redeem this coupon.
The total qualifies for the minimum, but because I set 'deny' for TOP, even by allowing the specific category won't work.
Appreciate your help.
