Bulletin Board Integration [Support Thread]

I've submitted v1.4.0 of the base bulletin-board notifier class (http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1597) to the Plugins for review. The installation instructions are now Zen Cart version-specific.

Please note that this updated version is required for the phpBB (http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1598) and SMF (http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1608) plugins to operate properly in a Zen Cart v1.5.2 or v1.5.3 environment.

Firstly...Thanks for your efforts and sharing this with us. It's much appreciated.

Ok... I have both base and this plugin installed.
I can create a new ZenCart user and the forum board index increments the number of members, and shows "Our newest member" to be the new nick name I created, however...a user account is not created at all.

The config table shows the newest_user_id to be the next available, which would be correct, but there is no such user.

Any ideas what may be wrong?

No clue; I'll need to resurrect my phpBB testbed to do any kind of verification.

I've got the site sat on a VPS and also on a test Xampp environment. Both behave in the exact same way!

No errors in the server logs to see. I'm not too sure about debugging Zencart. Is it worth looking there?

No, my guess is that the account-creation process within phpBB has changed since I originally wrote the ZC-phpBB linkage.

When I wrote the plugin in early 2013, some variant of phpBB 2.x.x was the "most recent".

I have not verified the SMF integration against later versions; perhaps some users of the SMF version of the plugin could chime in.

Apologies for keeping you "on hold", but paying clients come first.
