    Default only accepting Australian addresses

I want to restrict the user registering an address outside Australia so by searching around it seemed to be the easiest option to delete all the countries from the Locations list. I've managed to delete all but one, i.e. I'm left with Australia and one other. I go to Admin: Location/Taxes: Countries, select the one I want to delete and click the delete button. I get an "are you sure" confirmation, I click the delete button to confirm but then it isn't deleted. I seem to remember reading somewhere that there has to be more than one country for the drop down list to appear - is this what's preventing the deletion? Is there a better way around only accepting Australian addresses?

You shouldn't really have done that. One day you might decide you do wish to sell to non-Australians after all (why wouldn't you?), which means you'll be back here asking how to restore all the countrys that you've deleted.

Quite probably. If so, you could add New Zealand back into the list..... after all, everyone knows "AustraliaAndNewZealand" are the same place on the map :)

Not that I know of (without custom coding), and even if there is, it may not do you a whole lot of good. If a customer elects to checkout using PayPal express they don't even get to register their address in the store, as this is sent to the store from PayPal, which will circumvent any 'local' address restrictions.

Your best option (In my opinion) is to make use of the zone setting to limit/restrict where you'll accept payments from, and where you are willing to ship too.
If people can't pay, or if you won't ship, they aren't likely to register. Problem solved :)

    Cheers

A search for "countries" in the plugins library brings up these, which might be worthy of consideration:
