thanks for the orange status clarification reply. we do have a zone restriction and the activation setting is true. It didn't work when we ran the initial checkout test, but will try it again now.

usps was still not appearing in our checkout test this afternoon. I've located the issue tho, the zone settings of Store and state where the brick and mortar is located was the problem. changing these settings has fixed the issue. thanks again.
