standard shipping vs parcel

since the usps made parcel replaced by standard is there and chande to the shipping module that needs to be done or can i leave my setting as parcel in the admin section.

and i thought i read that usps international was not going to have first class mail just priority. or did i read wrong

Did you update both the module (/includes/modules/shipping/usps.php) and its associated language file (/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/usps.php)? The "name change" is in the language file.

First Class International Mail Parcel was renamed to First Class Package International Service
The name change is in the shipping module file. I don't think the language file changed except version/date.

Did you remove the USPS shipping before you uploaded the new version and then reinstall? If not, you should:
1) Backup your database.
2) Put your site into maintenance mode.
2) Reupload your previous version of the USPS shipping module.
3) Note your current settings in your admin and then remove the USPS shipping.
4) Upload the most recent version of USPS shipping.
5) Install this new version using your Zen Cart admin, reapplying the settings you previously had.
6) Go to your storefront, add a product to your cart and use the shipping estimator from the shopping_cart page to verify the USPS proper operation. Do this with both domestic and international addresses.
7) Once all is good, take your site out of maintenance mode.
8) Backup your database, noting that it's got the updated USPS module.
