Can I add the "store" into the background of my existing site?

ZenCart is not designed to be a backend or add to cart client for an html site
Mostly for security reasons

Suggest that you install it and play with it coming here when you need advice

I am not trying to disrespect anybody by this question because I do like the way Zen Cart acts. But I was wondering if there any other back end carts like mal's eCommerce that anybody knows about? One's I can send info to. (Preferably up-loadable cart)

Also... is there a program that could dissect a web page into a zen cart template? Like a zen cart template maker. They have programs that will allow you to make web pages from adobe photoshop. One is called site grinder. Was wondering if there was something similar?

What you are describing are mostly for discreet html pages

ZenCart is not html but php where a page is assembled server side from many pieces

And as I said before, you don't need to know much if anything about PHP to build a template layout for Zen Cart (depending on the look and functionality you want); You just need to become familiar with the ZC admin controls and be able to cut & paste code blocks in some cases, and understand CSS for fine positioning and styling.
