yes it is possible to apply a negative value to an attribute, but that's not what I'm looking for ...
so I probably need to give more details ... as I wrote above
... wht I'd like to do exactly here would be to use the admin/catalog/salemaker to create and apply a special sale of 50% in all categories with products that are download/CD/DVD option (should have at least 10 categories like this with 100 products in each of them) .... but of course the sale should apply only to the attribute n°1 : CD.I'm selling products which are set in this way :

is that possible ?
is there a way, or an contrib to do this ?
thank you ...
I believe you can only apply sales to categories not attributes.
Not aware of any mods but there are probably various sale mods out there.
Sorry I couldnt help more

ok, thanks ... someone else ?
maybe another idea would be to code it ? I think each attributes has been assigned a specific number when it was created, so it's maybe possible to do something like :
if attributes n°123456 then apply 50% discount ... of course I'm not a php & css professional![]()
