Default What is the difference between the Cache folder and the Logs Folder?

Playing with 1.5.1 and I was wondering what the difference is between the Cache folder and the Logs Folder?

The log folder was added in 1.5.x instead of placing debug logs in the cache folder

The cache folder is for "cache" stuff.
The logs folder is for "logs" stuff, instead of being stuffed into the "cache" folder also.

nah, sorry. I am still none the wiser. I have a text site that I am playing with and I have noticed that both of the cache folder and the log folders are full of myDebug files. So, why two different places for error logs?

That means, one of the config files is still pointing to the cache folder for the debug files, which means you are using an pre ZC1.51 configure file.

Or there were still old debug files in the cache folder

oh no, now I am even MORE confused!!

That means, one of the config files is still pointing to the cache folder for the debug files, which means you are using an pre ZC1.51 configure file.
this is a test site from a clean download of the 1.5.1 file set from about a month ago. Nothing from it has anything to do with an versions pre 1.5.1 :-O

So why are you not addressing these???
It is just a test website, where I play and try mods out and my own attempts at customization, I would never ignore any debug files on a live site, which I check every few days.

So, I am still lost why I have both a cache folder and a logs folder with mydebug stuff in both
Is the Cache folder obsolete now? If so, why is still part of the 1.5.1 file set?

The cache folder is not obsolete, it just isn't used for the errorlog files anymore
