Could you do something like this?

Yes, and see min & unit where one could set the min at 250 & unit at 250
With some instructions as to enter the qty desired 250, 500, ect
Eliminates the need for the qty attribute

Ok so if that was the case would 250 automatically multiply the other attributes by 250 or 500, 750, 1250 etc? i.e. would it automatically update the quantity in the cart for all attribute options as well?
