Order Update Email and Stamps.com/Shiprush

i turned on "send emails to admin on status update" but no mails are sent when stamps.com automatically updates zen cart. manual changes to orders result with a sent mail, as designed.

i'm trying to find a way to have the same mail that's sent to the customer also sent to me (that also contains clickable tracking) so that I can access a customers order info and tracking from within the email.

is there a simple way to have orders that are updated by stamps also send the same mail that is sent when an order is updated manually?

Sure: write custom code into your stamps.com plugin module to have it send the emails.

Or just use you store's Admin area to access the information when needed, instead of using email for that purpose.

i'm trying to find a way to receive the tracking into my gmail and avoid having to open my admin up when on the go. i suppose i could edit stamps.com to send these - is there no easy way to send these mails from zc?

I was referring to the code you added to your Zen Cart for stamps.com to do updates to your orders. THAT code is what would need to send the updates from your store.

The email setting you mentioned in your first post is ONLY used by the code that comes INSIDE Zen Cart. Your stamps.com addon is ADDED code, and if it doesn't contain instructions to send out emails, then it won't send out emails. Hence you need to write custom code in that addon/plugin in order to do that.
