Remove Specials, New Products etc. links from under categories

You know when you are looking at your website categories list and below your categories there are a few links there that say Specials, Featured Products, New Products, All Products, is there a way to remove those links?

Admin>Configuration>Layout Settings:

Categories Box - Show Specials Link
Categories Box - Show Products New Link
Categories Box - Show Featured Products Link
Categories Box - Show Products All Link


Set all to false.

Ahhhh, maybe I mis-understood.........I thought you were talking about the categories sidebox. If you were talking about those listings being on the index page, then of course, Clyde is right.......as always.

Not at all, the original post was a little ambiguous and at first glance it could refer to the category/product listing pages which also show new, featured, and specials below the listing.

I have the same problem (want to remove de "New Products" ...) and tryed to apply the solution sugested here , the changes made to categories did not affect the outcome and i could not find "index listing"
Do i do something wrong ? any help ?
