Default How set up 2 shipping rates by weight without them conflicting at checkout

    Hello,

Ok I have 2 shipping rates by weight $35 for chairs and $60 for lounge delivery.
They each have the price as weight entered in products. All good there.

Problem: When a customer buys 1-6 chairs I want to charge $35 but then when they buy over 6 chairs I want to charge the higher $60 fee.
So if a customer buys 6 chairs and a lounge I only ever want the highest charge fee to be $60 I do not want it to add the chair delivery price to the lounge delivery price.

Because my weight for the chairs is 35 (so that, that delivery price comes up) when they purchase 2 chairs the weight will become 70 which then charges $60 (but it'll need to be $35).

    I hope this is clear.
How would someone set up a table rate (if thats what I need to do) without getting charges by weight wrong?? .

here is a link to my cart http://webfroot.net/shop/

What happens if I order 8 chairs and 2 lounge?

What happens if I order 3 chairs and 3 lounge?

Well it currently adds all the separate charges up and then it gets expensive for the customer.
I want it so that if the customer buys 3 chairs and 6 lounges that they will only be charged the higher $60 fee.

Can this be calculated by counting how many Products are Product Weight 35 and how many are Product Weight 60 in the Order and make the decision on how much to charge for shipping of either $35 pr $60 for the total shipping cost?

Do you mean like this see link: http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.p...-on-cart-total

Well I'm not sure because we have a lot of different items in the cart all different prices.
How would the cart know if someone bought 4 expensive chairs (matching the price same as a lounge) which should be charged shipping rate A because rate shipping rate A goes up to 6 chairs and then they get charged shipping rate B because of the price?
