Default Store manager page gives 404

    Hello!

I got a weird problem - whenever I am trying to update the product attributes sort order though the sort manager I get a 404 page. At first I though it had to do with the max execution time, since I have a lot of products and attributes so I increased it to 300, but still get the same result.

    What else could be wrong?

    (Store manager file is original)

    Thank you,
    Dan!

A 404 is a 'page not found' error.

You either have a bad installation, or, you've added a so called 'SEO module', which unsurprisingly is causing your problem.

    RodG,
thank you for suggestion, but looks like it might be something else. It turned off my SEO module, and still get a redirect, though now to the index page. Does anybody have any other suggestions?

Delete or rename the .htaccess file located in the top level folder of your store.

Once again, RodG thank you for helping me. I have some "partial" success. It seems that it sorts the attributes but I still get a redirect to the home page or page not found. It is kind of weird, because on my previous server I was able to do the reset while my seo module was enabled. So could my server setting have something to do with it?

    Thanks

That suggests you had/have more than one problem.

Is it you that can't decide which it is, or is it the software that is undecided?

I see nothing 'weird' going on. It just means there is something different between the two installations.

I have to say that your server has *everything* to do with it. Not that that is helpful in any way. What do you think the .htaccess file is if it isn't "something to do with the server"?

Seems to me like removing the .htaccess file may have taken care of a redirection problem (probably the one causing the 'page not found'). A redirect to the 'home page' (assuming you actually meant ADMIN MAIN page) would suggest a session and/or security issue.

What do your error logs say?

    Cheers
    Rod
