Is it possible to write an add on that syncs inventory with e-bay?

Most people might just list separate inventories for 2 different sites. But when dealing with unique 1 quantity items you have to stick with 1 venue for a sale. It really limits your selling potential. I have scoured the net for possible software solutions that will take an e-bay listing, automatically or with few steps, upload that listing to zen cart. Then keep the 2 inventories synced. If something sells on e-bay then it immediately removes it from Zencart. Vica Versa.

I know this has to exist somewhere privately, but is there anything made public? Or is this even possible? I find there are a few abandoned projects.

i dont know how to do it, but if im gonna go it, the first thing i'll look for is a way to sync the 2 database, that or just use one database for both. try googling if there's a method for this.

If you 'know' it has to exist, then surely it must be possible? I see little point to your second question. :)

Having said that, I don't know of anyone that has done this.

Highly unlikely eBay will let you play with their database - so this is a non-starter.

Problem is that eBay changes its structure quite often... so mods that once sync'd turbolister feeds with zc feeds need regular updating - and this can be a difficult and tedious process.

There are online services that will sync the systems - they charge FROM $60 / month - and that tells you that doing this is not easy... especially when eBay makes changes to its systems.
