Hi gang -
Can someone please explain me how does the "One Time" value affects an attribute?
Also I am curious to know how can you use the Price Factor (an one time) offsets.
Many thanks

Let's say you charge $25.00 for a Red Widget ...
But you also want to charge a one time fee of $5.00 when the Widget is ordered ...
So this would charge on:
Qty (3 x $25.00) + 5.00 = $80.00
Qty (10 x $25.00) + 5.00 = $255.00

It makes sense. I was looking for a way of setting up an attribute system that charges the buyer say $20.00 every time an attribute other than the default is selected.
Meaning that even if 1-3 attributes are selected (other than the default), the attribute price doesn't add up as usual but it stays the same value.
You think there's a way to tweak that, or have you heard of an addon perhaps?
thanks

If you had a Widget with a Product Price of $10.00 and had the Color Red set for One Time Price of 20.00 then that is only $20.00 regardless of the quantity purchased ... now you get $10.00 * quantity plus $20.00 because they picked RED ...

Thanks Linda!
What if you have two attributes with their One Time price set to $5 each? Will those add up to a total of $10?
Because if they do, that's my problem. I am looking for a set value increase regardless of how many attributes they selected.
thanks!

You can also add Attributes without prices on them ...
So if the Product Price is $25.00 and the Red is set to 0.00 the Red adds nothing extra to the price ...
And, if the Product Price is $25.00 and the Red is set to 0.00 the Red adds nothing extra to the price and you have another Attribute for Small without a Price then the Small does not add anything extra to the price ...

I know it's hard to explain this, but I DO want to add an increase of $20, if they select at least one out of the three attributes. And with that in mind, if they select all three attributes, I still want to have a total of $20.00 in the end (instead of 20 * 3 = 60).
Here is an example (non ZenCart): http://www.mojotone.com/Narrow-Panel...3#.UUiwOhYo5hE
The cabinet is $194.38 if no Custom Cosmetics are selected. If even One (or all) custom attribute is selected (tolex, grille cloth or Handle) then the price jumps with $25.
It's not an orthodox way of doing things. Looks like they are using grouped attributes.
thanks for your patience to understand this.
