Sort Order not functioning for "Featured Products" on main page of ver 1.5.0

Configuration/Featured Listing (Display Product Display - Default Sort Order) does not change the sort of items in my "Featured Products" box. I've found and updated the code in the ZenCart forum for how to resolve this in a prior version of ZenCart, but it 1.5.0 seems to hold onto the sort by ID #. Any suggestions?

I still have this problem too, after doing as they say to the /includes/modules/your_template/featured_products.php file. But sometimes it takes a while for these changes to happen. I'm not sure why. When you change the featured listing settings it only changes it on the featured products page (not on the home page). How the dang to do this?
