Default CKEditor does not work in my IE?

Everything works fine in Chrome and Firefox.
In IE --- When editing a product, the CKEditor box shows the icons (tools) but the rest of the box is just gray. No text, no white space for editing.
Similar problem in Define Pages Editor.

Any clues why CKEditor is not working in IE?

    1) What version of Zencart
    2) What version of CKEditor have you installed
    3) What version of IE are you using?

    Nigelt74,

    Thank you for your response.
I'm using IE 10. Zen 1.5.1, and I've uploaded the latest version of CKEditor from the Zen website.
The demo site works fine in IE, but the shopping cart still does not.

Do you and/or your client have a reason/need to use IE when editing? If not, then use Firefox (recommended for many reasons) and forget about the issues that MrGates has caused you with his various renditions of IE. :)

Why do you need clues... ? The reason it doesn't work is because it's got "Microsoft" in the title.

Look, I understand those of you who despise MS and think we should just stop using their software. I try not to use it myself. But that is not a reason to make zero effort to get 3rd party software to work with it. There are many people who do not share your biases (or knowlege, if you prefer) and they use IE as their primary browser. I currently support such a person, who would like to edit their product information without switching browsers for that task. Since it is technically possible for CKEditor to work in IE, I see no reason why it should not, or why anyone would want to defend its problem areas.

I would be most grateful if anyone has any good answers to this issue.

    The solution may be simple:

    1. Download the latest ckeditor from ckeditor.com (standard package, which is the default on their main download button)
    2. Unzip
    3. This will give you a "ckeditor" folder.
    4. Delete the "samples" folder from it.
    5. On your server, rename your current /editors/ckeditor folder to ckeditorOLD
    6. Upload the new ckeditor folder from your PC to your server's /editors/ folder.
Now go to your store's admin and reload the page where the editor normally appears.

Then when you find it's working okay, delete your old ckeditorOLD folder.
