Default Creating different email confirmations for different products

I am selling virtual products that require passwords. Each different product has a unique password. Currently I am using a downloadable PDF to deliver the password, however, it would be perferred that the buyer have it available in the confirmation email (or follow up email). Anyone know how to make this happen?

Not through email but ZenCart has a builtin function that creates a downloadable link that is available in your customers "my account" that can be restricted to the number of downloads allowed

Since Zen Cart controls how many times someone is allowed to download the file, is there REALLY any need to inconvenience your customers with extra passwords? In this day of DRM-Free products, I'd be disappointed if you forced me to have to use another password on something I paid for.

Thanks for your input. I have a few reasons for wanting the information in an email. First, it removes the possibility that the buyer will have difficulty understanding about downloads or links from the shopping cart. Its been my experience that people need things to be simple as possible. Second, having a password gives the appearance that its personalized (although its not) so maybe they wont share it with others.
Also I need to provide other information (such as a list of directions) besides just a password. If the buyer needs to refer back to get a link, password or directions it would be easier to just check the email confirmation rather than having to sign in to the shopping cart (which is just another password to have to remember).
There are so many different types of products that can possibly be sold, doesnt it makes sense that you may need to provide different information to the buyer depending upon the product? (ex. return information, when to expect the product, where to pick up the product, etc).

There are order-processing "hooks" in the code that allow you to intercept the normal order-confirmation email preparation process, including the addition of required information directly in the actual order details. This is the same process that can be used if you're making customizations to sell PIN codes or personalized/individual software serial numbers, etc.
You can use that same process to do similarly, either by sending yet another email for the customer to have to manage, or adding it to the main order info and thus including on the main order-confirmation email.

I, and others, have posted numerous ways of doing this sort of thing many times here on these forums. Those might be good inspiration for you to adapt from.

Cobra, my particular product is a combination of downloadable and online virtual, however, I was just giving examples of why someone might need to use an email that is tailored for a certain product. Sorry, I thought that was obvious, my mistake. It still seems very reasonable to me.

Dr. Byte, thanks for your response, Ill try to find some of the posts you referred to.

Why are you so negative on getting an email?

You asked why I think multiple emails are unnecessary.
Why do I need two emails about my order, when one will do?
If I go pruning emails I no longer need, if you've given me two emails, then I have to stop and think harder about which one I 'must keep' because it contains information not available anyplace else.
And if all the critical information I need is already contained within my order, I don't even need either email since I can login to my account and see all the necessary information right there.

    Basically just the Keep-It-Simple-Sweetie principle.
