Default Login Issues With Subdomain after installing SSL

Our main store had SSL already at www.syntheticmotorsports.com. But we wanted to install SSL on our sub domains as well. One of them is working without issues at all at https://fordraptor.syntheticmotorsports.com. However, at our other sub domain https://dealers.syntheticmotorsports.com. "Customers" can login normally using firefox and IE but not with Chrome. I have gone through the configure.php files and everything "LOOKS" ok, but I can't figure out why the login isn't working in Chrome for just the one subdomain. Can someone point me in the general direction of what could be causing this issue?

Thank you in advance for the assistance...

I have accounts on both sites, and appear to be able to login with FireFox and Chrome ...

Ok, so that was you that I got the notification for the new account. Thank you. I don't understand what is going on. The hosting company (URLJET) began working on the SSL installation for us a couple of days ago. We originally asked for separate SSL certs for the main domain and one each for the sub domains. But while I wasn't available for consultation they talked my business partner into a shared SSL cert and ever since then we have been plagued with oone programming issue after another. In the beginning, the CSS disappeared, but I figured that out with the Configure.php settings.

But, now, for example. The login is now working again, but if you go to https://syntheticmotorsports.com it works, but if you go to either https://www.syntheticmotorsports.com or www.syntheticmotorsports.com, both of those urls revert to the CSS and layout of https://dealers.syntheticmotorsports.com without changing the url in the address bar to match. This is TRULY confusing me. especially since these issues are changing without me making changes in the databases to make the changes happen. Could it be the shared SSL installation itself that is causing these issues?

WOW, in the time it took me to write that last post, www.syntheticmotorsports.com began working as normal.

    This is SO confusing.

But I want to thank you for attempting to help us out on this.

Ok, I have since moved some of my stuff to a new host, new domain name, new ssl, etc. But believe it or not I am having the same login issues again. I am not using the main domain name at this point, only redirecting it to the sub domain. All ssl, ht.access, etc is presumably set up correctly because everything else works fine, including logging into the admin area. But customers can neither login or register. Can anyone help me with this please?

I DID figure out that everything with the login is working fine in Internet Explorer and FireFox, but Chrome won't allow login. Anyone have any ideas?

Chrome does things differently with cookies.
If you're brave and don't mind risking getting completely locked out of both your store and your admin, you can adjust these two settings:

(NOTE: I've never personally had problems with Chrome when using the defaults for these settings)

WARNING: Messing with ANY of these sessions settings exposes you to security risks and potentially broken sites!!!!!!!
The defaults are the best and most universally suitable settings, and should rarely be changed!

Admin->Configuration->Sessions->Use root path for cookie path
Admin->Configuration->Sessions->Add period prefix to cookie domain

In case you missed it the first time:
WARNING: Messing with ANY of these sessions settings exposes you to security risks and potentially broken sites!!!!!!!
The defaults are the best and most universally suitable settings, and should rarely be changed!
