Plugin Development Request

I was unsure where to post this but if the admins would like to move this post to the right section i would be greatful.

I thought i would offer this to the forum before putting it out on Odesk or anything.

Here is what im looking for as a plugin to add to a product type, ie matrix prices item (so i can still have a normal product item for normal products)

This would work for a price matrix CSV or Excel file like this

so if the customers entered 55" high and 38" wide price would be $265

I would also require to add extra attributes to these matrix priced product so customers can specify left open, right open, centre open etc etc etc with some with additional cost as per normal.

Customers would be required to enter dimensions of there required product into text boxes and the price would be calculated dynamically and displayed, prob need some javascript in there to so price instantly. The sizes the customer enters would also need to be retained and passed on through out the whole order completion so we can build the item to the set sizes supplied.

Both this and your previous example calculate the price via a little bit of embedded javascript.

I've not been able to identify the origins of the code, but if you view the source code from either site it isn't difficult to locate the relevant script(s), which you'll be able to copy for your own use.

You will of course need to study the surrounding html code to see how the script(s) are called/triggered and how the updated price gets displayed.

In short, the code you need *does* already exist, all you are really missing is clearly defined instructions as to how to implement it.

Might I suggest you also contact the owners of these stores' for more information, they may be able to point you to where they obtained the code (assuming they didn't write it themselves).

cheers rob, i have spoke to some people off here reg this and the way it works is there is a javascript that updates the price depending on the fly (there is a plugin for this in the plugin section to auto update the price from attributes)

prices of the items can be store on and csv or excell file and selected via a dropdown from the priceing file as this mod already exists i think the problem is that instead of drop down i need text boxes and site has to find the price nearest the price... Beyond my coding skills.

Ive tried emailing the above site in austrili but no reply yet. Had to guess there email as they dont have a contact form or email shown so i guessed
