Remove sideboxes only from Homepage

Hello,

I want to remove all the side boxes from the homepage only. When a customer clicks onto the main store, I want the sideboxes to re-appear, is this possible, and how could this be done? Ive been searching, and cant seem to find the answers

Or... You could create a index_home.css file that you can tweak to your heart's content. Setting just #navColumnOne, #navColumnTwo {display:none;} would take care of it.

I don't think an additional stylesheet this small should really affect page load.
