Thanx Frank. I think the issue may be Zen 1.5.3. Has this been tested/working on the current version? I remain locked out of categories despite my privileged user status.
CSAR works fine with ZC 1.5.3 - I have this running without a glitch on my production site, local dev sites and performed several installations for clients, all on the latest version of ZC.
What other modules are installed on your site?
Were all files merged correctly?
Are all files uploaded to the correct locations?
Hi Frank, It must be my install - I just dropped your files into the new install, thinking that would be fine (quick and easy). Mea culpa. Oh well. I should have known. Any idea what part may be preventing the recognition of a privileged user? I'm going to hate to start from the beginning. (Yes, I should do this, and not waste any more of your time. But if you have a quick pointer ... ).
Thanx Frank. Although you might consider simply doing a drop and replace in a clean install, but I know there are other considerations and everyone does have to make a living. But, I do thank you for making the contribution available to the community. Best,
I have installed the CSAR plug in, however it is re-directing all customers going to my website to the log in page rather than those trying to access the category that I want to restrict. If I click on a category then I can see the products in that and only the product prices from the non-restricted categories are being shown, so that is working well. Can anyone tell me what changes I need to make to the code so that all customers see my home page unless they try to access the restricted category? My website address is; thecandleandcardco.com and the restricted category is 'wholesale'. Any help would be much appreciated as if I can get this problem sorted it will be brilliant, I have been wanting to do this for ages.
I copied category_specific_access_restriction_admin_page_reg.php to the Includes/functions/extra_functions folder instead of the admin/includes/functions/extra_functions and I logged in to the admin. It ran but then idiscovered my mistake. Now I have copied the category_specific_access_restriction_admin_page_reg.php to the correct folder. Now it will not run when logining into the admin. What can I do to get the Category Restriction menu item installed?
