What can I do to get the Category Restriction menu item installed?
Delete the file category_specific_access_restriction_admin_page_reg.php, backup your DB and then run the CSAR_uninstall.sql patch.

Now carefully study the Readme.html file and follow the instructions step by step - make sure that all files contained in the package are properly merged and uploaded to the correct folders.

I found that the SQL code and the PHP code un the installation was using gID 32. Unfortunetly this was already used by another plugin. I restored the SQL from before this plugin. I changed the SQL Install to reflect an unused gID and ran the install SQL. I then checked out the records that were built by the install SQL and they looked OK now. I changed the category_specific_access_restriction_admin_page_reg.php to reflect the change gID. copied it over to the server and logged in to Admin. The category_specific_access_restriction_admin_page_reg.php is not deleted so I can only assume the php is not executing. Still the Category Restriction menu item is not visible.

I have not gone any further in the instructions since step 7 is not passing.

I have the current (official) version working on a ZC 1.5.4 installation. A new upgraded version for ZC 1.5.4 is in the making.

Please post any future requests here in this thread instead of PM, thanks.

CSAR version 2.1.x for ZC 1.5.4 is in the testing phase and will be submitted to the Plugins within the next few days.

    Changes are:

    Version 2.1.1 (2015-09-15)

    1. Changes to installation procedure:

    - added auto-installer to comply with latest Zen Cart plugin procedures
    - eliminated the need of manually running sql install patch
    - updated sql uninstall patch

    2. Changes to includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php:

    - eliminated having to enter the master categories ID AND the corresponding full cPath (eg 4_12_100) in admin
    - added snapshot to 'Login for Price' so customer is automatically directed back to the selected product page after logging in

    3. Added appropriate code to 'Document Product' to incorporate this product type into CSAR

    4. Changes to includes/functions/functions_prices.php:

    - made 'Login for price' in the listings 'clickable' (= directing to the login page)

    5. Minor bug fixes

    Cheers / Frank

This plug in is not installing properly. I have done all merging of the files, but when I login to my admin, I get a page error message. I have to disable the auto installer file to be able to login to my admin.

When I able to login to my admin, the customers do not show up. I have to change my "customers.php" file from admin folder back to the original file. This is on a test site.

I am running ZC Ver. 1.5.4 and CSAR 2.1.1

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Stan

Also, since you indicated that the error occurs when you access your admin, make sure to xxx-out any reference to your admin folder's name if you are going to post the contents of one or more of the myDEBUG-adm-*.log files!
