setting default country during signup?

admin->Configuration->Customer Details->Create Account Default Country ID

In your admin go to "configuration => Customer Details" and set "Create Account Default Country ID" to your desired country

In my case i set the "Create Account Default Country ID" But at create account page still shows "Please choose your country". Can anyone help me with this issue. This issue is after I installed Fast & Easy Checkout for zencart. Can anyone help me with this.
