I am the shopping cart administrator for a small business here in Rhode Island. We charge instate taxes for Rho Island sales, but don't if someone put in a mail order purchase from, say, Massachusetts.

Here's the rub ... if someone places an order from out of state and selects in store pick up, it doesn't charge the tax because it shows that they are from out of state. But because it's being picked up at the store, we have to charge RI sales tax.

So, my question is ... is there a way of setting a default tax rate for any in store purchases no matter where the customer is coming from?
