Default Moving store to different host

    Hi,

I need to move my site from yahoo to go daddy. I didnt want to have the site be offline and to mess something up during the process and not have the site at all so this is my plan:

    1) I've created a different domain on go daddy and planning to copy the website to that domain first and make sure it works fine. Just as a fail safe in case something goes wrong.
    2) After the site is working under a different domain name I'm planning to transfer the domain name to go daddy and just copy the files over.

My question is: Is this a sound plan?
Which files will I have to edit so that it would correspond to the transferred domain since it will be under test domain created as a fail safe?
How do I link up the database to the new domain?

With the exception of selecting GoDaddy as your host, it is a plan

I would first install a fresh ZenCart of the same version as your main domain on test domain -
Then transfer your template files from your main install
Finally, use phpmyadmin and import a DB backup from your main install to your test install
How do I link up the database to the new domain?
    See above

    Hi Kobra,

Thanks for the help. What host would you recommend? I'm not really happy with yahoo.
