Need some help with additional images not showing correctly.

Hi,

I need some help when it comes to adding additional images to a product listing. I have only done this today for the first time after some googling (youtube actually). The first listing I did worked perfectly but the second one is not working correctly.

The listing shows the two additional images correctly but when clicking on them it brings up a larger picture of the main picture.

Eg.

I'm pretty sure I have correctly named the images in this particular example correctly:

Fisher_Price_DC_ Superfriends_ Batman_Character_ Light
Fisher_Price_DC_ Superfriends_ Batman_Character_ Light_01
Fisher_Price_DC_ Superfriends_ Batman_Character_ Light_02

(they are all jpegs)

The first one I did that worked is:

They were both done exactly the same way so I don't understand why the second one didn't work.


I uploaded the additional images through the admin and not via ftp.

Can anyone suss out what the problem could be?

1. You have "spaces" in the image name. Not recommended.
Remove them and you will find it works (but NOT for the reason you think)

2. The database has a 64 character limit for image names
Spaces are encoded as %20 and take up 3 characters.
You have by accident got exactly 64 characters in the name.
(If it was any longer you would not get any additional images at all).

So to fix your problems:
1. Use Alpha/Numeric and underscores for image names. Avoid punctuation and spaces.
2. Keep your names shorter.

oops...there weren’t supposed to be any spaces in the name

I sat there staring at the titles for ages looking to see if there was anything wrong even after I posted them above and still didn't notice it. Very embarrassing lol
